As an animal lover there is no doubt dogs probably have a special place in your heart. Not only are dogs full of love for their owners, they are playful and protective. Most dogs would die for their owner and will always care for them no matter what happens between the two. This unconditional bond is something almost impossible to find with any other two living things. With all this amazingness that dogs offer it’s a good idea to give back to these wonderful animals. Here is 5 easy things everyone can do make their dog happier. 1. Let them roam free, walking a dog is great and there is no doubt they love it. But letting them off leash in place they can run and be free is priceless. More and more dog parks are built all the time just for this reason! 2. Take off the collar, dogs hear a much broader amount of sound. The little jingles and jangles can drive a little doggy nuts. Letting them roam without a collar in-doors will make then happier and feel more free. 3. Get them snacks and bones, dogs love to chew stuff up and treats make them feel special. […]
The reason ALOP.org started was to help people understand that animals are our partners not for food and fun. They have feelings just like us and there is plenty of other ways to live awesomely without killing them especially in the inhumane psychotic ways we do now. We have found another focus and it will be last chance ranches, all donations will go directly to these rescue sanctuaries around. These amazing places house animals that would normally be killed. We have been to several all over the world and every time a tear nearly forms from the love for animals that no one else wants or where abused. We feel there is no greater service in the animal community than these and they deserve all the help they can get. We will be doing posts for a new rescue sanctuary each month and details on how to contribute directly. All donations to ALOP will also be distributed to these places less a small amount we use to promote the website. If you have a last chance ranch in your town go visit them, most are homes for people as well as animals and most like to have events and fund raisers. I […]
We found this great dog walking and boarding service in Florida. Not only is the website awesome but the service stands up too. Furry Friends Pet Services offer Dog walking in Miami, FL and Dog Boarding in Miami, FL. The service really cares about your dog and has gone the extra mile to show you. When getting boarding and dog walking we highly suggest meeting the person watching your dog first and using them over and over if possible. Dogs like to warm up to people, well most dogs lol. Once you find someone you like to watch your dog, don’t be afraid to stick with them and or request them. They do private boarding and dog walking called Doggy Vacations. The owner says “we believe that when a client is away from home a dog adjusts better and stays both physically and mentally healthier when they are in a loving home environment and not caged up in a kennel or being pushed around by other dogs”. At Furry Friends Pet Service in Miami, every dog that stays with them, stays in a safe and loving home as a family member and furry friend. Their dog walking also uses the same person so your dog […]
Most people might not realize how caring animals can be. How they love and feel pain and sadness like us. For me that is why I joined ALOP. Just because animals do not speak our language does not mean they do not feel like we do. Every time an animal is locked in cages, hunted, or abused that animals feel a pain more than we can even imagine. I am here for the love of animals and to give them a chance at a happy life true to their nature. With that said here is some heart warming videos of animals showing love: If anyone tries to say animals don’t feel, or care. It’s your job to set them straight. With the right knowledge and compassion, someday animals will be able to live good lives on the planet we share.
Today is World Elephant day. On August 12 every year is World Elephant Day. The day brings people together to help conserve and protect elephants from the numerous threats they face all over the world. Mission: The World Elephant Day mission is to spread awareness, share knowledge, and provide solutions for better care and management of both captive and wild elephants. History: The year 2012 was the first year for the campaign and in the tradition of Earth Day, we hope that it will grow as a grassroots, word-of-mouth initiative. World Elephant Day was co-founded by Canadian filmmaker and elephant advocate Patricia Sims, and the Elephant Reintroduction Foundation in Thailand. Our outreach centres around internet awareness campaigns designed to get the word out about what is happening to the world’s elephants – and by bringing people together around the complex issues affecting elephants. Poaching, human-elephant conflict, habitat loss, exploitation and abuse are all underpinned by social, political, economic and environmental realities in the countries where elephants reside – in captivity or in the wild. Our intention is that with enough people and organizations signing on to the WED initiative, it will become a powerful lobby force that can be utilized in any […]
