As an animal lover there is no doubt dogs probably have a special place in your heart. Not only are dogs full of love for their owners, they are playful and protective. Most dogs would die for their owner and will always care for them no matter what happens between the two. This unconditional bond is something almost impossible to find with any other two living things. With all this amazingness that dogs offer it’s a good idea to give back to these wonderful animals. Here is 5 easy things everyone can do make their dog happier. 1. Let them roam free, walking a dog is great and there is no doubt they love it. But letting them off leash in place they can run and be free is priceless. More and more dog parks are built all the time just for this reason! 2. Take off the collar, dogs hear a much broader amount of sound. The little jingles and jangles can drive a little doggy nuts. Letting them roam without a collar in-doors will make then happier and feel more free. 3. Get them snacks and bones, dogs love to chew stuff up and treats make them feel special. […]
The reason ALOP.org started was to help people understand that animals are our partners not for food and fun. They have feelings just like us and there is plenty of other ways to live awesomely without killing them especially in the inhumane psychotic ways we do now. We have found another focus and it will be last chance ranches, all donations will go directly to these rescue sanctuaries around. These amazing places house animals that would normally be killed. We have been to several all over the world and every time a tear nearly forms from the love for animals that no one else wants or where abused. We feel there is no greater service in the animal community than these and they deserve all the help they can get. We will be doing posts for a new rescue sanctuary each month and details on how to contribute directly. All donations to ALOP will also be distributed to these places less a small amount we use to promote the website. If you have a last chance ranch in your town go visit them, most are homes for people as well as animals and most like to have events and fund raisers. I […]
In a world where it is known that eating the meat and flesh of an animal is not healthy. Why would we still eat meat? It’s an interesting physiological study. As natural selection comes into play, all species do what is best to survive without even knowing it. Yet humans with the knowledge to survive better choose to do things that hinder their ability to survive by consuming poisons and causing self inflicted stress. The only logical conclusion to this behavior is ego, the need to feel all mighty and in some cases invincible. The study of why people do drugs knowing it will hurt them is often chalked up as a way to escape or test their need to survive. We also see this often with extreme sports and wild tasks to tests one’s strength and survival ability. These risks that have become a common part of modern day society have no relevance in better survival and only effect the person doing the act. Some might say they did this extreme act to inspire people to do more. This would only perpetuate more people doing things that would risk their survival. Really this is just a excuse to not have to forwardly […]
A Veal calf lives their whole life with no mother, no sun, and malnourished. They keep them malnourished to keep them at the right weight and body composite. These farmed animals are not seen as a living being, just as a course of food. They are lonely, sick, and scared for every minute of their lives. The smell of feces and death is all they can relate to in their everyday routine. The only meal they eat is a milk substitute low in nutrients. After about 14 weeks they simply die and lay there until moved fr slaughter. Veal calfs never touch grass and only see a little light each day. They cannot move around and never get a chance to run. The life they must adapt is worse than anything wee can imagine. We know Cows have feeling and love yet we treat them like they have nothing. Eating and farming veal is animal cruelty at it’s worst.
